Bent glass sheet was manufd. by jointing the lower mold (34) with the lower part of a glass sheet and bending glass sheet toward the upper-edge surface. The glass sheet was separated from the lower mold by suction of the upper-edge surface drawn through the upper vacuum mold(36). The lower mold plane was jointed with the periphery of the upper edge of the glass sheet by suction through the downward-molding plane with a slightly convex surface. After jointing, the lower edge of the glass sheet had a relatively concave surface. The entire glass sheet was jointed with the shape of the downward-molding plane by suction.
