PURPOSE:A cosmetic, containing a macadamia nut oil, capable of exhibiting the affinity for the skin, giving a good feeling of use, and having improved storability without change with time. CONSTITUTION:A cosmetic containing macadamia nut oil obtained from macadamia nuts chiefly produced from Hawaii, Australia and Africa by the pressing or extracting with a solvent in <=99wt% range depending on the kind of the cosmetic as a base or fat liquoring agent. The macadamia nut oil is preferably used with an antioxidant, and if necessary palmitoleic acid having a high dermatological significance may be incorporated therewith. The macadamia nut oil contains specifically the palmitoleic acid which is a fatty acid found in a large amount in the subcutaneous fat of humans, and therefore is effective for improving the affinity for the skin. |
