PURPOSE:To slacken the flushing and improve the feeding feature for fixed quantity of powder by providing a cushion hopper between the powder discharge port of a screw feeder and a belt scale so as to create a powder head variance. CONSTITUTION:A cushion hopper 4 is composed of an upper plate 6, a bottom plate 7 and side plate 8 and is provided between the powder discharge port 5 of a screw feeder 2 and a belt scale 3 with the powder discharge port 5 penetrating the upper plate 6 to be inserted inside so that the angle theta between the bottom plate 7 and the surface (c) connecting the tip (a) of the powder discharge port 5 and the powder feed edge (b) of the bottom plate 7 is set nearly at the angle of repose for the powder handled. When the flushing occurs, the powder abruptly flows into a tank 4 from the feeder 2 to fill the tank 4, and a powder head variance DELTAh is created, thus suppressing the inflow of powder from the feeder 2. Accordingly, the powder in the tank 4 is gradually discharged and fed. |
