PURPOSE:To improve strength, wear resistance, etc. in a valve seat, in which hard particles are dispersed in composition of a foundation further a sintered hole is infiltrated by a copper alloy, by both specifying composition of the foundation and the hard particle and determining the void to a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:An iron system sintered alloy of ingredient composition consisting of 0.5-1.7% C, 0.5-2.5% Ni, 3.0-6.5% Cr, 0.1-0.9% Mo, 1.0-2.7% W, 4.5- 7.5% Co, by weight and the rest part substantially Fe is used as the sintered alloy. While as a hard particle dispersed in this foundation composition, a particle of 8-12% C-Cr-W-Co-Fe and Fe-Mo by volume with 250 mesh or less is used. Then the void formed by atomized powder is arranged to 6-14vol%, and continuous holes of the void are infiltrated by a copper alloy. |
