PURPOSE:To obtain the accurate action of a device by providing a part which can be softened or molten by prescribed temperature, to at least one part of the engaging part in a temporary stopping means in which a gas shut off valve is held open to operate the gas shut off valve when the inside of the gas shut off device becomes fixed temperature. CONSTITUTION:The captioned device is constituted such that an inlet valve 4, frame distinguishing material 7 and an outlet valve 5 are successively arranged from the upstream side in a main unit 1 having a gas supply path 2 and feed path 3 to a burner or the like and the valve 5 is held open by engaging the point end of a stopper 11 of a temporary stopping means 15 to a groove 10 of the periphery of the valve 5. If a back fire with at least preset pressure is generated and act to the stopper 11 via a introducing path 13, the stopper is moved upward and engagement with the valve 5 is released to cut off the back fire. Here a shaft member 19 constituting the main unit of a gas shut off valve 16 is separated from an externally fitted part 20, and the part 20 is adhesively mounted to the member 19 by a soluble material 18 which can be softened or melted by temperature below firing temperature of inflammable gas, to attain the desired arm. |
