PURPOSE:To improve operability for an adjustment of perpendicularity, by providing a decision part in the same direction with the supporting shaft of a pinch roller and arranging a detection shaft for indicating the scale of the decision part with its tip. CONSTITUTION:A base board 21 is set in a cassette chamber and cassette guide pins 3 and 4 are inserted into hole parts 211 and 212 to be positioned accurately. The base end part of the detection shaft 24 is inserted into a hole part 10 provided at the top of the arm 8 of the pinch roller 7. Then, a tape recorder is placed in a playback state and the arm 8 is rotated counterclockwise to bring the pinch roller 7 into press contact with a capstan shaft 6. In this state, the scale 231 of the decision part 23 is read with the tip of the detection shaft 24 and a decision on the perpendicularity of the pinch roller 7 is performed from the read scale value. Then, the pinch roller 7 is adjusted to an accurate perpendicular state by adjusting the screw part 81 of the arm 8 on the basis of the decision result to make a predetermined indication on the scale 231 of the decision part 23 with the tip of the detection shaft 24. |
