PURPOSE:To exactly synchronize feeds of a sheet original and a copy sheet and to execute high speed automatic feed of the original, by providing two sensors on the upstream and downstream sides of an exposure window on a sheet original feed route, and controlling start and stop of original feed. CONSTITUTION:A sheet original Os is fed one by one from a tray 55 with a pair of slipping rolls. The interval between the originals Os successively fed from the rolls 56, 57 are enlarged with a pair of high-speed rotation feed rolls 61, 62. When the forward end of the original Os is detected with a sensor 60, its feed is stopped. When a copy sheet is detected with a sensor 90, the original Os kept still is refed. When the backward end of the original Os passes through the sensor 60 and a signal telling the absence of the following original is delivered, feed of the original Os is stopped. Register rolls 37 are actuated when a sensor detects arrival at an original discharge route. |
