The sifting mechanism separates a mixture of particles into different sizes, having a sieve rotating about a central vertical axis. This has a non-permeable distribution cone, point upwards, in the middle, whose axis coincides with the axis of rotation, while its base joins onto the sieve. The mixture is delivered by a central feed pipe above the cone and the coarse particles are discharged from the sieve periphery. In the outlet (4) of the feed pipe (8) is an adjustable coaxial mouthpiece (14) of smaller diameter. The outlet can be brought to within a short distance of the cone (3).
