The apparatus comprises a channel (E) along which the packets are conveyed in succession, said packets being arranged edgeways on the bottom of this channel transversely with respect to its longitudinal extension and with their ends making contact with corresponding moving belts (7, 8) which form the physical walls of the channel. Provision is also made for stopping means (9) which keep the packets in contact with one another, as well as means (14, 15) which press the packets against the bottom of the channel. To ensure rapid drying of the gummed or glued parts (S'') of the ends of the packets, elastic pressure means (22) are arranged opposite at least one of said moving belts, said means acting perpendicularly with respect to the latter and being of a number substantially equal to the number of packets located inside said channel. <IMAGE> |
