<p>A process is described for producing a master batch of elastomer-resin using a resin of the ester gum type and an elastomer in latex form, which process involves the following stages: (a) finely grinding the gum ester resin; (b) adding the finely ground resin to the latex contained in a reactor, while a low temperature is maintained and the ingredients inside the reactor are continuously stirred, with the aim of producing an emulsion; (c) coagulating the emulsion produced in the reactor by adding a saturated solution of sodium chloride until a sodium chloride concentration between 1 and 10% is achieved in the batch and then adding sulphuric acid to complete the coagulation of the batch; (d) separating the coagulated solid in the form of particles from the liquid phase, which is dried; (e) repeatedly washing the particles produced with water, until the desired purity is obtained; (f) getting rid of the excess water contained in the particles until a predetermined moisture content is obtained; and (g) packaging the final product for use and sale.</p> |
