<p>Barometer with a diaphragm cap (4), a rotatably mounted pointer shaft (22) and a transmission mechanism which transmits the movements of the diaphragm cap (4) to the pointer shaft (22). The transmission mechanism includes a converter device (12) which converts a translatory movement of an input element (16), which is only displaceable, into a rotary movement of an output element (46) which is secured against displacement and is rotatably mounted. The converter device (12), which between the input element (16) and the output element (46) has, for example, inclined rods (54, 56), a twisted, prestressed strand or a threaded sleeve with associated threaded rod, replaces completely or partly the lever mechanisms of conventional barometers. <IMAGE></p> |
