A mechanism for swivelling and closing a swivel arm (3, 4) at a certain setting angle in relation to a frame part (1, 2). Serving to swivel the arm (3, 4) is an operating rod (7) which is connected to the swivel arm. According to the invention, the operating rod (7) and the swivel arm (3, 4) are connected in an articulated manner by an articulated arm (9) which is mounted in the swivel arm (3, 4) at a distance from its bearing axis (5) in the frame part (1, 2). While the swivel arm (3, 4) is swinging out, the operating rod (7) can move outside the bearing axis (5) of the swivel arm in the frame part until it self-locks when the angle between the articulated arm (9) and the operating rod (7) changes from an obtuse angle to an acute angle. <IMAGE> |
