1. A process for the production of pourable, at least still water or solvent-damp nitrocellulose with elevated apparent density, in which the damp nitrocellulose ist subjected to the influence of pressure for a short time between two solid surfaces, characterised in that water-damp nitrocellulose with a water content of at least 10%, or aqueous nitrocellulose pulp with a nitrocellulose concentration of at least 5%, is subjected as starting material to the influence of pressure for a short time, at an elevated temperature of at least 50 degrees C, the mutual spacing of the solid surfaces being at most 0.2 mm, and in that the resulting nitrocellulose, which is at least still water-damp, is optionally converted in known manner into solvent-damp nitrocellulose by displacement.
|
