<p>PURPOSE:To provide a recording liq. with high reliability by giving a recording head prolonged service life and reduced failure rate, by incorporating a particular dye. CONSTITUTION:As a recording agent forming a recorded image in an ink jet recording system, a recording liq. contg. a compd. of formula I [wherein Q1 is substd. phenyl, substd. naphthyl (wherein the substituent is NH2, SO3M, OH, CH3 OC2H5, COOM'); R1 is H, SO3M; R2, R3, R4, R5 are H, CH3, C2H5; M, M' are Na, K, Li, ammoniums, amines] [e.g., a compd. (dye) of formula II, formula III]is yielded. On cleavage of the azo bond -C-S- bond, and -C=N- bond caused by heating the recording agent above 250 deg.C, the decomposition product has an enough solubility in the liq. medium, so that repeated formation and disappearance of foams over a long term does not cause the production or precipitation of foams on the surface of a hot head nor undischargeability from the recording head.</p> |
