<p>PURPOSE:To provide a recording liq. excellent in solution stability and recording stability, and well suited to a recording liq. for ink jet recording, etc., by incorporating a complex salt of an azo compd. having a particular pyrazole nucleus, with an ion selected from Cr, Cu, Co, and Ni. CONSTITUTION:A complex salt of a compd. of formula I (wherein Q is phenyl or naphthyl optionally substd. by an arbitrary substituent; R1 is H, 1-4C alkyl, phenyl; R2 is H, 1-4C alkyl, phenyl, diphenylsulfone) with an ion selected from Cr, Cu, Co, and Ni is dissolved in water or a mixture of water and an org. solvent (e.g., polyethylene glycol) in a ratio of about 0.5-20wt% to yield the intended recording liq. Of compds. of formula I , a compd. whose molecule contains an aromatic ring having OH, SO3M (wherein M is an alkali metal, a base), COOM or NH2 group is pref. and examples of the compd. are dyes of formula II, formula III, etc.</p> |
