1,2,4-Triazin-5-on deriv. I(R=isopropyl, normal-propyl, ethyl, methyl)were prepd. by condensation and methylation of H2NNHCSNHNH2 and 1-R-cyclopropyl-glyoxylate-t-alkylamide. Thus, 109g 1M (1-methyl-cyclopropyl)-carboxylic acid cyanide was added to the mixt. of 130g t-BuOH and 130mL cethylene.Cl and mixed with 100g 90% H2SO4 with stirring at 0˜5≦̸C. 18mL H2O was also added to the soln. This soln. was diluted with 500mL dichloro-methane and was added pH 6 caustic soda with cooling. 181g (=98.9%)(1-methyl-cyclopropyl)-glyoxyl-t-butyl amide was obtained from the resulting soln. by distillation and drying.
