PURPOSE:To prevent a heat pipe from being broken because of freezing, by covering the heat pipe, with their both ends being protruded from the casing cover of a heat exchanger, providing an electric heater to one side of the casing cover, and by charging the heater with electricity by a freezing temperature detector for operating fluid. CONSTITUTION:Both ends of a heat pipe 10 are protruded from the casing 8 of a heat exchanger, and a cover 12 is fitted to one side of the casings 8 to cover one of the protruded ends of a heat pipe. In the cover 12, an antifreezing heater 14 is fitted to the protruded end by a band 15, a support plate 16 and a fitting screw 17, while an open air temperature detector is installed on the outer surface of the cover. When the temperature in the open air goes down to the temperature at which operating fluid in the heat pipe is frozen, the temperature detector will be operated to charge the heater 14 with electricity, so that the operating fuid in the heat pipe can be prevented from freezing. |
