PURPOSE:To make possible oxidation of carbon monoxide even at relatively cold temperatures by bringing burning gas from carbonaceous solid fuel into contact with reformer composed mainly of iron oxide. CONSTITUTION:Oxidation catalytic reaction at a relatively cold temperature included in iron oxide powder such as ferrite, magnetite, etc. is used as a reformer for changing carbon monoxide into carbonic acid gas. Burning gas generated from briquette coal, etc. is brought into contact with iron oxide and carbon monoxide contained in the burning gas is oxided by the catalytic performance to reduce the concentration thereof. A disk that is made of iron oxide powder mixed with ceramic fibers and other refractories and provided with a plurality of holes thereon is used as the attachment. In this manner, the concentration of noxious gas such as carbon monoxide etc. can be reduced efficiently. |
