<p>An article, e.g. a bottle, has a cord wrapped around it, pref. from a continuous length, to form at least one turn and optionally at least one other turn at a different angle, e.g. perpendicular, to the first, the ends of the cord being secured with a wax seal. Embellishment of bottles and other packages of luxury beverages, foodstuffs, etc., and esp. of decorative perfumery flasks where the cord may pass longitudinally around the flask and its cap or stopper and then around its neck. The flask may be provided with grooves to house the cord. The process is automatic instead of manual and the appts. is relatively simple and inexpensive.</p> |
