PURPOSE:To eliminate handwork labor with respect to the movement of a type head at the time of correction, by putting in a symbol (row) desired in correction by an input means in a correcting mode to move the type head to the position of the symbol (row) desired in correction on a printing blank form. CONSTITUTION:The input of data and the indication of a correcting mode are carried out by a keyboard 1 and a symbol (row) put in from the keyboard 1 is referred through a data memory apparatus 2 in the correcting mode by a retrieving means 3. From the retrieved result, the number of pitches is calculated in moving a type head 9 right and left by a calculating means 4 while it is calculated how many lines is rotating a platen 10 by a calculating means 5. The presence or the absence of a printing blank form is detected by a detecting means 6 and, when there is no printing blank form, the content of the data memory apparatus 2 is cleared. |
