The parallelepipedal block of wood (1) has at least two opposed faces (2,3) pierced with drilled holes (4) that are placed opposite corresponding drilled holes in similar blocks. Each couple of drilled holes is penetrated by a common spindle so that the blocks can be built into a partition wall. The length (L) of the block is twice its width (1) and its large faces have at least two drilled holes equidistant from the longer sides of the face and separated from the shorter sides by a distance equal to a quarter of the block length. The position of holes (4) enables an overlapping construction similar to brickwork.
