PURPOSE:To provide the titled head capable of stably jetting ink droplets over a long period of time and printing with high quality, by a method wherein a surface at the periphery of jetting ports for ink droplets is treated to be water- repellent. CONSTITUTION:In order that the surface of a mouthpiece of the jetting poarts for the ink droplets is water-repellent, a nozzle plate 21 treated in a plasma of a gas containing a fluroine compound such as C3F8 is used. As a result, the water-repellent property and the durability of a jetting surface 22 for the ink droplets are enhanced, and deviation of jetting direction is reduced. Accordingly, the aperture diameter of each of the jetting ports can be prevented from being reduced, the ink droplets can be stably jetted over a long period of time, and printing can be conducted with high quality. |
