PURPOSE:To reduce efficiently unrecoverable errors of signal words, which are continuous in order of time series, due to burst errors, by transposing arrangements of signal words and parity words in a block. CONSTITUTION:Time series data and parity words are inputted to input terminals (a)-(i). Delay circuits 1 and 2 are so controlled by a controlling circuit 3 that a signal is outputted from one of them when a signal is inputted to the other, and an output switching circuit 4 is controlled by the controlling circuit 3 to select and output the output of one of delay circuits 1 and 2 which outputs a signal. The controlling circuit 3 controls a switch output switching circuit of delay circuits 1 and 2 so that every 150-block components of data and parity word are inputted to and outputted from the delay circuit 1 or 2. Signals are outputted from output terminals a', b', and c' of the output switching circuit 4 so as to be a prescribed distributed recording pattern. Though the state of an interleaved recording signal becomes a 3-word error in the block and it cannot be corrected by two parity words, unrecoverable data is discrete, and consequently, the degradation of the tone quality is prevented by holding of the preceding value or interpolation of an average value. |
