PURPOSE:To detect both gamma ray and beta ray simultaneously with a compact construction by arranging a gamma ray detecting section inside and beta ray detecting section outside while a high voltage electrde and a current collector electrode are made spherical respectively. CONSTITUTION:A high voltage electrode 11 is made of a specified metal in a spherical shape and a current collector electrode 12 equally spherical is provided concentrically. A space 13 is sealed with gas such as pure argon and these 11- 13 compose a closed type gamma ray detecting section. An insulator AB1 is provided on the circumference of the high voltage electrode 1 and a spherical current collector electrode 22 is set through a protective ring P2 coated with a conductive paint or the like and an insulator AB2. A spherical high voltage electrode 21 is arranged outside it at a specified space. It is so arranged that air or the like as sent from an arbitrary point flows into or out of a space 23 through an introduction port IN and a delivery port OUT to form a ventilation type beta ray detecting section. |
