<p>A catheter with distal and proximate balloon segments (8, 9) expansible to produce a chamber around arterial plaque and a conduit (7) for delivering solubilizing liquid into the chamber. The catheter may also contain a central expansible balloon (10) to assist in forcing the liquid into the plaque and to compress the plaque. Several solubilizing liquids are described.</p> |
