The invention relates to a component with an internal taper which is provided with a helical thread, in particular to a synchroniser ring for motor-vehicle change-speed transmissions, which is produced by casting or injection moulding from a fibre-reinforced thermoset and the helical thread of which has a thread profile which is made up of a cylindrical first profile region extending parallel to the centre line of the internal taper and of an adjoining, tapered second profile region, the transition from a cylindrical first profile region to an adjacent tapered second profile region taking place with the same diameter in the direction in which the internal taper widens and with a diameter jump in the direction in which the internal taper becomes smaller. <IMAGE>
