In order to test printed-circuit boards, they must be connected to automatic test sets. To this end, an adaptor device (10) is inserted between the interface assemblies of the automatic test set and the printed-circuit board, which adaptor device has a plug connection on the one hand to the interface assemblies (14) of the automatic test set and on the other hand to the printed-circuit board (12). Arranged in the adaptor device (10) is a plate (44) between which and the remaining adaptor device compression springs (42) are arranged. In order to produce the plug connection between the adaptor device (10) and the printed-circuit board (12), the compression springs (42) are stressed such that the plate (44) is moved in opposition to the plug-in direction. When the plate (44) is released, the compression springs (42) then move at least a part of the adaptor device with respect to the stationary printed-circuit board (12) so that the contact elements of the adaptor device (10) come into contact with the contact elements of the printed-circuit board (12). <IMAGE>
