The yarn-tensioning device (2) possesses a pneumatic loading device (6), from which there are line connections to a gas-pressure source (13) of adjustable pressure. Inserted into the line connection is a leakage-flow indicator (11) which has a housing (14) with an inspection window (18). The housing (14) contains solid elements which are of variable position under the influence of a gas flow and which here consist, for example, of solid particles suspended in a liquid measure (20). If leaks occur downstream, the level (21) of the liquid measure (20) first rises to the line (21'), whereupon turbulence streaking and therefore movement of the solid particles become visible in the inspection window (18).
