In a sports shoe, in particular for runners, the sole part is designed in such a manner that, under the insole and at a distance therefrom, in the region of heel and ball, the outsole is fashioned as a bending spring or a leaf spring, the spring action and wear duration of which are considerably increased as a result of lateral support by means of a spreading spring effect and exchangeable shock-absorbing cushions which are to be inserted into the interspaces and can be varied in the degree of hardness, particularly as the life limit of the shock-absorbing cushions and the regeneration time are indicated by indicators.
