Optical inspection system for rolling elements according to which the rolling elements (3) during photo-inspection (6,7) and controlling (8) are moved through a reservoir (1) filled with a liquid (2). Due to very small whirlings on the element-surfaces and by the choice of a specific cleaning liquid a highly reliable and less expensive inspection system is obtained.
