PURPOSE:To simplify and miniaturize a drive circuit and cut down its cost all the more, by using an invert er circuit adopting switching control capable of regulating the power supplied. CONSTITUTION:An energized phase control circuit 30 works out a cycle T of a rotating magnetic field to be produced by the exciting current of each phase from the desirable rotational speed of an AC motor given through an input terminal CN and decides the energized phases TU, TV and TW of exciting current of each phase of which the abovementioned period is divided into three equal parts. The phase signals u, v and w of these energized phases are outputted lnto an energized section control cirouit 10 of next stage and the inputted power is oontrolled in a suitable make-and-break oontrol based on the input power control signals set up from outside through an input terminal CP.
