<p>PURPOSE:To surely engage and disengage an electromagnetic clutch at the engine power input side of a stepless transmission independently of the rotational frequency of an engine, by performing reverse excitation to disengage the clutch for the transmission in the neutral or parking position. CONSTITUTION:When the changeover clutch 26 of a stepless transmission 2 is operated to the neutral or parking position to perform idling in a parking locked state, separation from ground is caused so that a coil 9 is excited inversely. As a result, residual magnetism under the hysteresis of driving and driven members 10, 12 of an electromagnetic powder clutch 1 is removed to put the clutch in such a disengaged state that no drag is caused and the clutch torque is completely zero.</p> |
