PURPOSE:To lower the center of gravity of a silo barge, thereby enhance stability and make a loading efficiency be higher than that of a circular cylindrical silo, by a method wherein a silo is formed in an angular shape, and a lower part thereof is placed in a barge's hull and formed as one body with the latter. CONSTITUTION:When equipping the barge's hull with the silos for storing powders, a plurality of angular silos each of which consists of a slanted lower part and a rectangular upper part are provided in parallel with each other so that each of partition walls 6a, 6b is used in common for an adjacent pair of the silos, and the lower parts of the silos are placed in the barge's hull and are formed as an integral structure with the hull. Accordingly, as compared to a conventional silo barge wherein circular cylindrical silos are provided on an upper deck through a fitting support part, the center of gravity of the barge as a whole can be lowered, stability ca be enhanced, and the loading efficiency for powders can be enhanced. |
