<p>A signal hole reader having signal hole detecting means (PC) for detecting signal holes (SH) formed in a film (F). The reader comprises film position detecting means (11) for detecting a part to become a reference of the film (F), e.g., the upper end of the film (F), and moving means (7), (9) for moving the signal hole detecting means (PC) with respect to the film (F) in response to the detected result of the film position so that the signal hole detecting means (PC) is positioned correctly with respect to the signal hole (SH).</p> |
