For feeding bulk material into a pneumatic pressure-conveying installation (1), use is made of a squeeze-valve sluice chamber (5) which is connected directly by way of its outlet opening (8) or with interposition of a metering device to the pressure-conveying installation (1) and the supplying opening (4) and outlet opening (8) of which can be closed by means of pivotable closure flaps (3, 9). Arranged inside the sluice chamber designed in the manner of a squeeze valve is a squeeze-valve tube (7) which can be supplied from outside with a pressure medium in order to displace the chamber volume as soon as the closure flap (9) of the outlet opening (8) has been opened. A backflow of the pressure-conveying medium from the pressure-conveying installation (1) through the sluice chamber (5) is thus prevented. <IMAGE>
