PURPOSE:To simplify the construction of an apparatus by energizing a guide arm retaining a seat belt tounge forward of the body by a force of a spring and then, releasing the force of the spring to turn the guide arm forward when a belt is applied. CONSTITUTION:A guide arm 3 retaining a toungue 7 of a seat belt 2 is mounted rotatably on a center pilar 5 and invariably energized forward of the body with one end 10a of a torsion spring retained. A seat switch 9 is connected to a control circuit of a drive motor 29 for a belt winding shaft. As soon as crew takes the seat, this switch 9 turns ON while a buckle switch 35 is still OFF and a relay 38b is turned ON with the control circuit. Therefore, a motor 29 runs in the direction of delivering the belt to deliver a seat belt 2. As a result, the force of said spring is released and the guide arm 3 is turned forward of the body. |
