PURPOSE:To ensure a surrent supply time for an ignition coil in an ignition timing control of an internal combustion engine carrying out knocking feed-back for every cylinder by limitting the difference of ignition timing between the cylinder in which ignition is carried out right before and one in which ignition is carried out this time to a predetermined angle or less. CONSTITUTION:In step 701 is detected whether or not knocking is generated from knocking value a and back ground value b. In steps 702, 706. 707, on the basis of the result is controllably increased or decreased ignition advancing angle correction value thetakn for every cylinder. In step 711 is obtained the final ignition advancing angle thetan for the cylinder by the use of this correction value thetakn. In steps 712, 713, the calculated ignition advancing angle thetan is limited not to advance over a certain angle alpha from the previous ignition advancing angle. Thus, an angle for supplying current to an ignition coil is ensured. |
