Colour copier in which the developer devices assigned to the individual colour separations are fixedly arranged around the process cylinder at a small spacing such that an electrical field can be generated between the transmission roller of each developer device and the process cylinder. By applying a suitable voltage to the magnetic rollers of the developer devices, the field structure is controlled such that in each case only the developer device assigned to the individual colour separation has an effect. The collection of the powder images of the individual colours on a second cylinder is likewise performed by creating a potential difference between the second cylinder and the process cylinder.
