Accommodated in a first housing part (1) of a two-part, axially symmetrical housing is a lens system (41, 42, 43), and in a second housing part (2) a halogen lamp (3) and a switching arrangement having a sealed contact (27). The second housing part (2) is surrounded by a switching ring (34) in which a permanent magnet (52) interacting with the sealed contact is located. The first housing part has at its end facing the second housing part a flange (9) projecting radially outwards, and the second housing part has a recessed flange (14). The two flanges are detachably interconnected by rings (3, 4) and screws (5). A rim part (10) of the second housing part projects into the first housing part. The switching ring (34) has on its part bearing against one of the flanges a rim which projects radially outwards and covers the said screws at least partially, so that the latter cannot be removed as long as the switching ring (34) surrounds the second housing part in the engaged state. If, for example, the hand lamp must be opened in order to replace a defective lamp, it is necessary for the switching ring (34) to be withdrawn from the second housing part together with the permanent magnet (52) accommodated in the ring. Not until then are the screws (5) which hold the two housing parts together accessible and removable. The consequence of this is that because the sealed contact (27) is located outside the range of effectiveness of the removed permanent magnet (52), the lamp cannot be switched on in the disassembled state, as a result of which the danger of explosion is substantially lessened. <IMAGE> |
