The invention relates to a polyamide-based resin composition which contains 100 parts by weight of a polyamide resin composition comprising from 1 to 99 parts by weight of a polyamide resin obtained from xylylenediamine and a straight-chain, aliphatic alpha , omega -dibasic acid, and from 99 to 1 parts by weight of nylon 66, and from 3 to 100 parts by weight of a modified ethylene copolymer containing structural units derived in each case from ethylene and an alpha , beta -unsaturated carboxylic acid and/or metal salts thereof, and optionally containing structural units derived from at least one material from the group consisting of alpha -olefins other than ethylene, conjugated diolefins and alpha , beta -unsaturated carboxylates, where the structural units derived from the alpha , beta -unsaturated carboxylic acid and/or metal salts thereof are present in a proportion of from 0.05 to 20 mol% of the total number of structural units.
