PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock absorber which can be held in a contracted state while suppressing an increase of costs and kinds of parts.SOLUTION: A shock absorber 100 comprises: a tube 1 in which a piston rod 2 is extended from one end; an outer cover 3 whose one end is fixed to a tip side of the piston rod 2, and whose opening end is formed toward the tube 1 side; and a holding bracket 4 which holds the shock absorber 100 in a contracted state. The holding bracket 4 has a fixed part 4a fixed to an external peripheral face of the tube 1, and a spring part 4b expanding toward a direction separating from the outer cover 3. The shock absorber 100 is held in the contracted state by the compression of the spring part 4b between the tube 1 and the outer cover 3 in a state of being contracted up to a prescribed length or shorter.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
