PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic receptor inhibiting an irreversible chemical reaction which is caused by the action of ultraviolet rays in the charge transferring layer by forming a charge generating layer and a charge transferring layer contg. an acrylic compound. CONSTITUTION:An acrylic compound is added to the charge transferring layer of an electrophotographic receptor having a charge generating layer and the charge transferring layer. A preferred acrylic compound to be used is represented by the formula [where R1 is hydroxy- or alkoxy-substituted aryl or a heterocyclic group; R2 is H, alkyl, aralkyl or alkoxy; R3 is H, nitrile, carboxyl or -COOR5 (R5 is H or alkyl); and R4 is H or alkyl], and an acrylonitrile compound is used especially preferably. The charge transferring layer can be formed by dissolving a charge transferring substance and said acrylic compound in a solvent together with a binder resin, applying the soln., and drying it. |
