<p>A signal transmission system has a stationary member (20) including a first surface (21), and a rotary member (22) including a second surface (24) which faces the first surface (21) of the stationary member (20). On one surface of both the members a light output section (26) is provided, and on the surface of the other member a light input section (33) is provided which always faces the light output section (26) irrespective of the rotation of the rotary member (22). A optical signal converted by electric-optical signal converter (27) from an electric signal is emitted from the light output section (26). The optical signal is incident on the light input section (33). The optical signal thus obtained at the light input section (33) is converted by photo-electric signal converter (35) into an electric signal.</p> |
