PURPOSE:To execute printing to any form, by providing a conductive porous plate in the vicinity of a conductive developer surface in a tank containing the developer, holding the developer surface by the porous plate, and providing this porous plate and a photoreceptor in the vicinity of each other without bringing them into contact with each other. CONSTITUTION:By charge of (+) which a latent image [a latent image of (+) in case of a photoreceptor 1 for (+) charging] formed on the surface of the photoreceptor 1 has, an electrostatic field is generated between a photoreceptor 1 and a porous plate 12 of a developing device. A developer 11 of the same polarity as the porous plate 12 is attracted to a latent image face of the photoreceptor 1 by operation of its electrostatic field. Its attracting force is superior to the surface tension of the developer, therefore, the developer flies and adheres onto the surface of the photoreceptor, and a visible image is formed. By applying bias voltage V to the porous plate 12, a strong electrostatic field can be formed, by which density of the visible image can be controlled. |
