PURPOSE:To make it possible to economically and efficiently carry out the continuous forming of soft foamed sheets by such a composition wherein a take-up roll between a conveyor mechanism and a cutting unit is arranged so that it can be driven in synchronization with a conveyor mechanism for continuous transferring. CONSTITUTION:A strip of raw sheet S unwound from a raw material sheet supply unit 1 is heated by a heater 2, press formed by a forming unit 3 and continuously transferred by a conveyor mechanism 4, but for causing the strip of raw sheet S to synchronize with the operation of press forming molds 3, 31, the strip of raw sheet S is caused to operate intermittently so that its feeding time and stopping time at the time of pressing take place alternately, and its moving speed at the time of feeding becomes high. The strip of raw material sheet S is caught between a take-up roll 7 and a nip roll 8 arranged adjacently and then sent into a cutting unit 5 subsequently provided. By this arrangement, the continuous forming of soft foamed sheet can be economically and efficiently carried out. |
