PURPOSE:To prevent the clogging of a nozzle without stopping execution of programs, by judging whether the program language in execution is a printing instruction or not, and discharging ink from an ink jet head at the time of a nonprinting instruction. CONSTITUTION:When an arbitrary program is executed, the program instruction for every line is read out, and the judgment as to whether the instruction is the printing instruction or not is performed. In the case of the nonprinting instruction, the judgement as to whether the ink jet head is performing the printing or not is performed at the same time when the instruction is executed. In the case of printing, the end of the printing is waited. When the printing is not performed, the ink jet head 1 is immediately moved to a home position, and the ink is discharged into an ink receiving part 6. The discharged ink is returned to an intermediate tank 4 by a circulating pump 8 through a pipe 9. When the execution of the nonprinting instruction is finished, the discharge of the ink is finished, and the instruction for the next line is read. |
