PURPOSE:To form at a high speed a strip of thermoplastic resin sheet which is excellent in transparency and surface luster and free from unevenness and crease by such an arrangement wherein membrane-like thermoplastic resin in molten condition extruded from a T-die is introduced into a slit where cooling water flows through, and then the resin is cooled by being caused to pass through between half immersed squeezing pressure rollers provided in a water tank. CONSTITUTION:Membrane-like thermoplastic resin 2 in molten condition extruded from a T-die 1 is introduced into a slit 3 where cooling water flows through. This slit 3 is formed by being connected to an upper water tank 4 positioned under the T-die 1. As cooling water flows down from said water tank 4, the membrane-like thermoplastic resin is cooled by cooling water when it passes through the slit 3. Next, the membrane-like resin is squeezed and cooled by half immersed squeeze pressure rollers 6 provided in a lower water tank 5. Like this, a sheet which is excellent in transparency and surface luster and free from uneven thickness and crease can be formed at a high speed. |
