Said motor vehicle gearbox is characterized in that said means for tracking the rotation of the cylinder is configured so as to ensure tracking in terms of angular position. The gearbox includes a control means for controlling rapid rotation of the cylinder in a first direction until the cylinder passes (t2) a predetermined angular position, then slow rotation of the cylinder in the direction opposite the first, until it is observed (S1, θ1, t3) that the cylinder is in said predetermined angular position, so as to initialize said angular position tracking on the basis of at least said observation (S1, θ1, t3). |
