PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration in physical preperties and conductivity of a conductive polymer compound by forming a metal oxide layer on a conductive polymer compound in a non-oxygen atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:When an organic battery is manufactured by forming a metal oxide layer on a conductive polymer compound which is used as an active material of a positive electrode and/or a negative electrode, the metal oxide layer is formed in a non-oxygen atmosphere. In the conductive polymer compound obtained, deterioration caused by oxidation and degradation in conductivity caused by break of principal chain by doping of oxygen are retarded compared with that treated in an oxygen atmosphere. when a metal oxide such as In2O3, SnO2, and ITO is formed, since they are transparent conductive film materials, the transparency of the film formed in a non-oxygen atmosphere is reduced. However, when they are used in the battery, transparency of the film is not necessary and these films have no adverse effect on the performance of the battery. |
