PURPOSE:To reduce unnecessary transfer and to improve the efficiency of a progress of processing, by transferring only characters of some kind that an output device does not handle from a central processor side to a Japanese processor side. CONSTITUTION:A central processor 1 executes a program stored in a main storage device 2 and when a data set to be outputted is set up in the device 2, its area is specified and a channel processor 4 is started. Character codes in the data set are transferred from the processor 4 to respective Japanese processors 5a-5c. The character codes are applied to the memories 6a-6c of the devices 5a-5c and converted into character patterns by referring to characters of the 1st JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) level, characters of the 1st and the 2nd JIS levels, and characters of an extended system level stored in character-kind level storage parts 6a-2-6c-2, outputting the characters to an output part 8. Then, only character patterns which are not found in the devices 5a-5c are transferred from the processor side 1 by referring to the character data set connected to a device 3 to advance the processing efficiently. |
